ME 354 Fluid Mechanics

Basic principles of fluid mechanics. Hydrostatic forces, kinematics of fluid motion, integral and differential representation of conservation of mass, momentum and energy, Bernoulli's equation, dimensional analysis, similitude, and modeling, viscous flow in pipes, introduction to external flows, introduction to compressible flows, and turbomachines. Two hours of lecture and two hours in laboratory per week.
