SOC 232 Urban Communities

This course will trace the development of cities and suburbs in the United States and globally, and identify the differences between cities during different time periods (i.e. feudal cities versus emerging cities in developing worlds). Additionally, we will identify the central organizing principles of activities in cities and suburbs (i.e. class, race, gender, age, immigrant status).
