CJ 532 Domestic Violence
This course is an introduction to the issue of domestic violence in the United States. It provides a critical examination of different forms of domestic violence from a criminological/sociological perspective. The course will cover theory, research, and current policy on domestic violence. Patterns and trends of domestic violence, multi-disciplined theoretical explanations, and historic and contemporary criminal justice responses to domestic violence will also be critically analyzed. This course is linked with CRM 430. No credit will be given for linked equivalent.

Admission to the Victim's Advocacy Certificate, admission to the M.A. in CJ Administration, or permission of the Graduate Program Director.
