ECON 300 Macroeconomics

Intermediate Macroeconomics builds on foundational principles to delve into advanced macroeconomic theories and policies. This course is part of the Common Intellectual Experiences of the Economics program. Students will analyze key economic indicators, explore the role of fiscal and monetary policies in influencing aggregate demand and supply, and examine the impact of globalization on national economies. Through case studies and real-world applications, students will develop critical thinking skills to assess economic challenges and propose effective policy responses. High-impact practices, such as group projects, intensive writing, and simulations, will be integrated to enhance collaborative problem-solving and practical application of theoretical concepts.
