ECON 305 Microeconomics

Intermediate Microeconomics provides an in-depth exploration of individual and firm behavior in various market structures. This course is part of the Common Intellectual Experiences of the Economics program. Students will analyze consumer choice, production decisions, and market interactions to understand the allocation of resources and the functioning of competitive and imperfectly competitive markets. The course emphasizes the application of microeconomic theories to real-world scenarios, including the examination of current market trends and policy issues. High-impact practices, such as case studies, intensive writing, and experiential learning activities, will be incorporated to foster critical thinking, data analysis skills, and a deeper understanding of microeconomic principles.
