EDEC 300 Curriculum Development for Young Children
This course focuses on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to effectively organize and implement content for young children, including English language learners and children with exceptionalities, in the classroom and in federally and/or state-funded programs. Emphasis is placed on applying principles of developmentally appropriate practice for young children with an interdisciplinary lens. Field experience of 30 hours is required to complete this course in an approved site. The exact site location will be determined with the program coordinator or course instructor prior to the semester the student is enrolled in this course. Students should be prepared to arrange for their own travel to and from their sites.
