MGT 475 New Venture Discovery and Design

New Venture Discovery prepares students to conduct, interpret and utilize primary research to discover potential customers’ needs and desires and analyze those to develop successful products and business solutions. Students will learn an iterative design process that engages prospective customers in creating solutions that they will find appealing. Students will explore innovation in business models, identify potential partners, estimate cost structure and create a launch plan for their new product/venture. If the course is taken for undergraduate credit, it cannot be used for graduate credit.

Prerequisite

Admission to the upper division of the Business School, declared Minor in Entrepreneurship, or by permission of the department chair. For graduate credit, admission to a School of Business graduate program or permission of the Associate Director of Graduate Programs.
