Accelerate Central BSMS in Construction Management
Eligibility
Students apply in their junior year of study and must meet the following requirements:
- Successful completion of 60 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits hours must be completed at CCSU.
- Have at least a 2.70 cumulative grade point average.
Benefits
Accelerate Central Pathways offer CCSU undergraduates the opportunity to earn a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in as few as 5 years of full-time study. This enables students to enter the workforce more quickly and better prepared.
Students admitted to the Accelerate Central BS / MS Construction Management Program may take up to four (4) graduate level courses, for graduate credit, during their undergraduate program. Of the four (4) graduate level courses, the two (2) graduate courses would double count in both the graduate and undergraduate degrees as specified:
- The graduate course CM 555 ‘Construction Project Control’ would double-count for the undergraduate course CM 435 ‘Construction Superintendency’, and
- the graduate course CM 580 ‘Construction Safety Management’ would double-count for the undergraduate course CM 335 ‘Construction Safety’.
Students who are accepted into the Accelerate Central BS/MS Construction Management Program will officially matriculate into the School of Graduate Studies the semester immediately following the conferral of their bachelor's degree.
All CCSU undergraduate students are eligible to apply to Accelerate Central, students who as undergraduates majored in areas other than Construction Management may pursue a Master's degree in this program. The program is for those who wish to expand their background in the broad area of construction management or who wish to specialize in a particular aspect of this discipline.
How to Apply
Students will submit Change of Major form. The documents will go through the proper parties for review and approval, including the Graduate Program Director. Once the form has been approved by all required parties, the Registrar’s Office will change the student’s undergraduate curriculum to note the Accelerate Central program.
